A George III burr elm veneered tea caddy.
 
The square box shaped caddy has ebony edges and the bottom rim.
 
The interior is a single compartment which would have had a foil lining which is no more.
 
The caddy is in good condition with a key but the lock is not working. (Circa 1800)
