Victorian Needlework of a Horse

19th century
Description

An unusual Victorian needlework of horse. The horse is stitched in wool and stands proud with full saddle in a simple landscape setting. It is likely that it is a famous race horse or military horse and the image is copied from a print of the time. The needlework is in very good condition with the odd very minor loss on the edge and the colours are bright and fresh. The mahogany frame is the original and has a silvered slip, all in very good untouched condition. The whole has a wonderful period look and is a very unusual needlework. C.1860.

Where charges are made for delivery we try to be as cost effective as possible on your behalf. Deliveries can be organised all over the world so please do ask wherever you are.
