This is a large, antique Art & Crafts/Art Nouveau jardiniere/planter. Made by Ethel Beard at Royal Doulton, which dates to circa 1900. Measuring 17cm in height and 18cm in width, it has the Doulton Lambeth backstamp, together with the decorator''s initials, EB for Ethel Beard. There are also initials ''F.C.'' which could also be for Fanny Clark, who may have added some inspiration to this stunning piece. It is in very good, bright, undamaged condition with no chips, no cracks, and no restoration. Wonderful, rich blue glaze to the walls of this decorative example.
