Victorian Walnut Cabinet Bookcase

Description

A Victorian burr and figured walnut 2 door pier cabinet or bookcase. The figured walnut top having a moulded edge above an inlaid frieze. The 2 glazed doors having boxwood line inlay with gilded escutcheons. The stiles with further boxwood marquetry and attractive ormolu mounts. The ends with matching figured walnut and the whole standing on a chamfered and shaped plinth. The interior with 2 shelves and retaining the original velvet lining. This cabinet is in good original condition with good quality ormolu mounts which retain their original gilding, complete with working lock and key. Dimensions:- Max.width…47’’/ 121cm. Max.depth…13’’/ 33cm. Height…41’’/ 104cm. Interior shelf depth…8.5’’/ 21.5cm. Delivery to most of U.K. £55.
