The right chair is a lovely example of a walnut elbow chair.
The drop-in seat has been reupholstered, covered in a high quality fabric, with a traditional horsehair filled seat. The elbow chair is standing on square chamfered legs, united by stretchers

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks and fading to both chairs on the arms and back. There have been historical black smith repair to the underside of the seat of the walnut elbow chair. Both chairs remain structurally solid and sound. A wonderful example of a duo of upholstered chairs.
