Webberley Antiques has dated this piece to the 1800s.
The cupboard door with arched moulding to the front panel and with an original single fixed shelf to the interior. The backboards original also and with a lovely deeply crossbanded border at the waist.
All in good condition for age and of elegant proportions. All sturdy and robust on a solid curved plinth to front and sides.
A very usable and attractive George III period bookcase.
Dimensions are:
28.5 inches wide, 14 inches deep and 66 inches high.
The bottom shelf is 13.5 inches high, the middle shelf is 11 inches high and the top shelf to the top of the bookcase is 7 inches.
For metric please multiply by 2.5
