A stunning unheated sapphire and diamond ring. The centre stone – certified and natural, unheated and originating from Ceylon (Sri Lanka) is a bright, sky blue. The stone is secured in platinum and surrounded by fourteen old mine cut diamonds in individual scalloped settings. Decorative scroll detailing in the gallery leads to a slender platinum shank.
Accompanied by a sapphire report from Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating, and is Sri Lankan (Ceylon) in origin.
Cut – Cushion cut sapphire with old mine cut diamonds.
Colour – The diamonds are G to H.
Clarity – The sapphire is loupe clean. The diamonds are SI1 to I1.
Carat – The sapphire is a known 4.93 carat. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.12 carat.
Circa – 1940.
Size – L 1/2 (UK) or 5 7/8 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.
Measurements – The sapphire is 8.6 x 10.2mm. The head of the ring is 17.3 x 14.9mm and sits 7.4mm from the finger.
