The corners having carved and pierced spandrel brackets of �Chinese Chippendale� type design . The figured mahogany frieze unusually fitted with two totally original oak-lined �blind� drawers , a rarely seen feature . The cross-banded ,richly-figured mahogany over-hanging top having a square edge with a moulding below ,resonant of a marble slab top and taking it�s inspiration from antiquity . The whole table in completely original �countryhouse� , fresh-to-market condition , retaining its original polished surface and �skin� which has achieved a rich colour and patina .
