Good quality antique pocket watch from Harris Stone.

The watch has a good quality 17 jewels movement, 3 adjustments, which is working nicely. The movement also features a safety pinion to prevent damage if the mainspring goes. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is the gold filled Moon model from the Dennison Watch Case Company, a Birmingham based case manufacturer and supplier to various watch makers. The case is in lovely condition.

The acrylic lens is in good condition.

The dial is signed with the name of the original retailer, Harris Stone, Leeds. The dial is in lovely condition.

Harris Stone was born in Russia in 1863. He emigrated to the UK and set up a successful jewellery business within the city of Leeds, from where he traded until after the second World War.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
