However, sitting below the marble this ebonised cabinet with large frieze drawer and shelved cupboard is adorned with the most beautiful gilt brass decoration of floral ormolu mounts and escutcheons and foliate banding to the doors. The French neoclassicism is typified by the mythological and nymph mounts on the drawer and doors as well as the large paw front feet. Both the drawer and right-hand cupboard are fitted with working locks � one key works both locks. The left-hand door is secured by an internal latch bolt.
