Description

A Pair of Early 19th Century Ormolu Vases of Classical Shape.

The reeded rims with stiff leaf undersides, over the concave necks, spreading to the bodies. The shoulders with likewise, bands of stiff leaf and reeded decoration. The bodies sweeping into rising leaf cups, over a reeded socle, spreading to the circular foot, decorated likewise with a band of stiff leaves. The vases standing on circular plinths, the bodies with rosette filled lattice decoration, before a foot rim of stiff leaf banding and thence the square foot plinth.

Date circa 1810,
