Antique 18th Century Welsh Oak Panelled Coffer

Description

A wonderfully naive Welsh oak panelled coffer in superb original condition. Initialed O.P. and dated 1775.

Particularly interesting are the ingenious hinges which use the weight of the top to operate allowing the top to be lifted completely off at any point.

Very good condition, structurally all in good order with some exceptional aged wear and colour.
