Antique Treen 19thc Apothecary Boxwood Pill Rounder. English C1840-60

A fine example of an apothecary’s turned boxwood double sided pill rounder or finisher...one side is deeper than the other to allow the rounding of differently sized pills....after the pills have been rounded they are put into a spherical pill silverer for coating. The rounder is in excellent condition with a very good colour and natural patina.
English. C1840-60.
