The stone is secured in a silver collet with four sets of double-claws with angular detailing in the gallery, leading to a slender 18k yellow gold shank. A fantastic and wholly unique piece of jewellery.

Accompanied by a report from Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating, and is Sri Lankan (Ceylon) in origin.
Cut – Pear cabochon.

Circa – 1905.

Measurements – The sapphire is 16.3 x 13.5mm. Sits 7.9mm from the finger.
