~~ Excellent condition, fully overhauled ~~
A beautiful antique French clock of exquisite Meissen style porcelain in the Louis XV Rococo style. The case is of waisted shape with bold scrolls sitting upon a base.

The front of the clock is formed as open lattice to allow a glimpse of the pendulum gentle swinging within. The porcelain is marked with an imitation Meissen mark and is by one of several French makers imitating Meissen at the time. The dial is porcelain enamel with it's original finely fretted gilt hands and convex bezel. The rear door is glazed with frosted glass.

The French movement is of high quality and is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is a replacement. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. We have a video of the clock, please ask and we will send you a link, or paste this link into your browser: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KkWbBqUOwCU&t=11s

Condition of the case is excellent, porcelain has some small losses as is to be expected, a small piece of stem to the top, some small losses to petals, a light hairline through one cherubs foot. There are four very small areas of scratching that have been touched in, two to the front of the base and two to the rear of the clock. There is some slight rubbing to the over-glaze gilt decoration. The dial has no damage.

Porcelain mark on the underside of the case.
Complete with pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
