The case in Walnut with carved relief and decorative turnings.

Grande Sonnerie striking on double gongs, striking on all four quarters of the hour

Strikes the quarters first (1,2,3 or 4), followed by the hour, so in example, 1 quarter past 6 etc

Brass pendulum and weights, below engraved decorative pulleys

Beautiful unmarked dial and original hands

8 day movement cleaned, serviced and keeping excellent time

Stamped with its serial number, dating it to circa 1877
