Large Grand English Silver Plated Serving Tray - Fern Engraved - C.1895

Description

A stunning Victorian serving tray standing on four very handsome cast reticulated legs. The decoration is outstanding with all-over Fern engraving and a delight border and sturdy and highly decorative handles.

The underside is marked on the underside with a Fleur-de-Lys and Gondola together with the markers initials D & H for the silversmith, DEYKIN & HARRISON of Birmingham, this mark dates them to the end of the nineteenth century.

A wonderful and impressive piece measuring 22" (27" including handles) x 17".
