A nice quality art nouveau oak monks bench. In the Liberty''s style, circa 1930, this is an elegant piece of furniture with the classic heart-shaped carved decoration on each side. With a lift-up lid for useful storage space, The top folds down on a sliding mechanism to transform into a table-top, but generally people tend to use these as a bench.
