Description

A nice quality Victorian walnut pedestal desk c1870. The desk is laid with a burgundy gilt tooled leather surface. The drawers are oak lined with original brass handles of the Victorian Aesthetic era c1870 and locks. The pedestals stand on original china castors so the desk can be easily moved. The back of the pedestal is polished walnut so the desk can stand against or away from a wall. The colour is a lovely mid chestnut. There is a pinprick mark in the burgundy leather visible in the last photo but this is a minute drawback in an overall beautiful piece. The desk separates into three parts so is easy to transport and fit into place.
