Adorable Japanese Meiji (late 19thC) bronze of a mischievous puppy playing with a tasselled, reticulated ball (cast in two separate sections), signed on the front of the puppy Hozan (Yoshiyama). Measures ca 23cm long (with ball), 15cm tall, 11cm wide, weight 2.55kg.
A delightful Japanese bronze with nice patination.
