A rare Victorian toy size silver flour dredger with pierced push in cover with reeded decoration and a scrolled wirework handle. Hallmarked for Birmingham 1898, maker Samuel M. Levi, and matching partial marks to the cover.
Novelty miniature silver replicas of furniture and household objects were made more commonly around this time in Germany and Holland and imported in to the UK and it is unusual to find a fully hallmarked English made example.
It measures 3.5cm (1 3/8'') high and 2cm (3/4'') wide and weighs 7g / 0.2ozt.
In very good condition with no splits or repairs. Some small dings in a few places; hallmarks are nice and clear.
