Antique Paul Moser silver half hunter pocket watch.

The watch has a good quality stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is unsigned but there is a brevet number of 346 which relates to a “special watch calibre”, registered to Paul Moser in 1889. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is 935 silver, so slightly purer than sterling silver, and there are Continental hallmarks inside all three covers.

The front of the watch has a small central lens surrounded by enamel filled Roman numerals.

The front and sides are in lovely condition. The case back has some fairly gentle unevenness.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside, there is an acrylic lens which is in lovely condition (some reflection showing in the photos).

The dial is in beautiful condition with blued steel hands, including the special half hunter hour hand so that the time can be read when the front cover is closed. The hands are lever set, with the lever being next to number 4.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
