Robert Anderson ARSA RSW 1842-1885.Edinburgh born artist who specialised in the depiction of of churches and large,often powerful watercolours of fishing vessels and fisherman.He exhibited works at the R.A.,RSA and RSW,NWS and GI.This fine large watercolour of exhibition quality has a couple of foxing marks to the sky together with an abrasion but shows good depth of colour and bears the remnant of an old label verso. ‘ Séville from the River Guadalquivir ‘ signed watercolour dated 1882,inscribed Séville ;image size 65x99cms,framed size 74x106 cms
