Victorian Turned Wood Adjustable Hat or Wig Stand

Description

An unusual hat or wig stand dating from the 19th century. It has a round base with a turned column. The top part is adjustable in height and is secured in place by a small wooden screw. It is a good quality piece with a lovely patina and warm colour.

It is in good condition for its age and displays well. There are signs of age and use, some small knocks and marks but no major damages or anything detrimental.

Approximate Dimensions :

Height : 10" (25 cm) at lowest

Height : 16" (41 cm) at highest

Diameter of base : 5" (13 cm)

Diameter of top : 3" (8 cm)
