.He usually painted rustic figures,especially peasant girls and children.Travelled in Ireland and Spain in search of suitably picturesque subjects.Exhib mainly at OWS,also at RA 1832-70,BI,SS and NWS.Died at Córdoba,on his second visit to Spain.His remaining works were sold at Christie’s on 30 th March,1878. ‘ Donkey with Man and Woman in Spanish Landscape’ watercolour signed with initials and dated (18)69 image size 23.5x35cms,framed size 46.5x58 cms.Professionally cleaned by my excellent restorer; period giltwood frame with new wash line mount.
