Georgian 1.25 Carat Old Cut Diamond Cluster Ring, Circa 1820

Description

A rare and arresting Georgian diamond ring. This impressive piece is centred with a wonderfully bright old mine cut diamond which is claw set in yellow gold and surrounded by six slightly smaller old cut diamonds is closed-backed silver cutdown settings. A further eight (four each side) old cut diamonds are in the stylised split-shoulders leading to a yellow gold shank adorned with decorative engraving. A truly special piece.

Accompanied by an independent jewellery report from IGR (#30310512).

Cut – Old mine cuts.

Colour – The centre is G. The surrounding diamonds are F to I.

Clarity – The centre is SI1. The surrounding diamonds are VS2 to SI1.

Carat – The centre is approximately 0.40 carat, with a further approximate 0.85 carat in the surround.

Circa – 1820.

Size – J (UK) or 4 5/8 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down. There is a limit to how much this can be altered, so please contact us prior to ordering if you would need this resized.

Measurements – The head of the ring is 10.2 x 10.5mm and sits 4.75mm from the finger.

Metal – 14k gold and silver. Tested.
