Art Deco Sculpture by J E Masson

1920 - 1940
Description

This art deco period sculpture of two art metal hounds, with one hound standing while the other drinks from a pool of water, is set on a naturalistic sandstone base, conceived and created by the esteemed animalier sculptor Jules-Edmond Masson (1871-1932).

The exact same study in bronze, was cast in the highly respected Le Verrier foundry in Paris and won a gold medal in the Salon des Artistes Francais.

This sculpture in very good condition and without damage.
