Victorian 2.99 Carat Ceylon Sapphire & Diamond Cluster Ring, Circa 1900

Description

A Victorian sapphire ring of unsurpassable beauty. The sapphire in the centre – certified as natural, unheated and originating from Ceylon (Sri Lanka) – is a glowing cornflower blue with clear flashes of vivid electric blue. The sapphire is claw set in yellow gold and surrounded by twelve high white and bright old mine cut diamond in a coronet cluster setting. On a slim 18k yellow gold shank which tapers at the shoulders

Accompanied by a sapphire report from Gemmological Certification Services (GCS) stating the sapphire shows no indication of heating, and is Sri Lankan (Ceylon) in origin.

Cut – Cushion cut sapphire with old mine cut diamonds.

Colour – The diamonds are G to H.

Clarity – The sapphire is loupe clean. The diamonds are VS1 to SI1.

Carat – The sapphire is a known 2.99 carat. The total approximate diamond weight is 1.00 carat.

Circa – 1900.

Size – N (UK) or 6.5 (US). Complimentary sizing is available, can go up or down.

Measurements – The sapphire is 7.46 x 7.46mm. The head of the ring is 14.7 x 15mm and sits 7.7mm from the finger.

Metal – 18k gold. Tested.
