A 19th century serpentine mahogany chest of drawers. The crossbanded top with boxwood stringing above four graduated drawers with flame veneers, the fluted side columns with inlaid shelves at the top , the base with shaped frieze front and sides. The chest has several characteristics that suggest it may be American Colonial, one of which are the poplar lined drawers. Good colour and patina. English or American Circa 1830.
