Antique 19th Century Biedermeier Walnut Show Frame Salon Armchair and dating from around 1870. Constructed from quality walnut it has a beautifully carved cartouche above a walnut show frame and with a deeply upholstered button back rest leading to downswept upholstered sides with shaped and carved walnut armrests with carved hand rests. It has a deep upholstered and shaped stuff over seat above a shaped and carved frieze skirt. It is raised on splayed and carved cabriole legs on castors. It has been recovered in a quality satin damask fabric in a pale peach/ champagne tones.
