A super-quality Art Nouveau Arts & Crafts 1905 Silver Plated Wine Cooler Coaster, very much in the style of William Hutton. but with a bit of detective work established, this was probably made by the Barker Bros. at some point around 1900 or 1910. Oozing Arts and Crafts style and design, this fine example with a planished body, scrolled fine-like handles and a raised beaded border just below the neck is a sheer delight.
the odd area of wear to the plate consistent with age. Impressed makers stamps to the base along with a reg number of ''37468''.
Beautiful handles, flared base foot and rim. Magnificent proportion. A hard-to-find piece.
It is 19.0 cm high, with a handle 21.0 cm.
