A very good looking well made and decorative trunk, this trunk can still be purchased today from LV with a slightly different top for £55,000 gbp. It can be used free standing or laying down as a coffee table, either way its super sophisticated and highly collectable

The trunk is completely original, every single brass stud is stamped Louis Vuitton, the lock reads LV Louis Vuitton Made in France, the original paper label is present and reads "LOUIS VUITTON PARIS 70 CHAMPS-ELYSEES 149 NEW BOND ST LONDON NICE 2 JARDIN ALBERT VICHY RUE DU PARC, the strap buckles are both signed LOUIS VUITTON BREVETE and the hangers each original and signed MADE IN FRANCE B7 LOUIS VUITTON PARIS-LONDON

This piece as mentioned has been fully restored on the outside, the internals as ever has been left totally original and untouched. The work to the outside has been extensive, the case has been completely washed back taking off the years of travel dirt, the timber washed back waxed and polished, all the studs and brass work burnished and polished then the whole thing sealed. This piece is ready to go for another 100 years

There are areas of wear externally as with all these pieces, usually from loading and unloading, there will be general patination all over as you would hope (and expect) based on honest age and genuine use
