Lincoln Restorations has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
An ideal antique drop leaf dining table for space saving.
This is a marvellous example of a Georgian drop leaf solid Mahogany dining table believed to be made around C1840 featuring its original lovely deep rich Mahogany colour with original waxed finish which has built up to its high shine through time.

This table has a very small form yet is versatile from having 2 large drop-down leaves managing to comfortably seat 4 people and be used as a dining room, breakfast table or occasional/hall table. This table features 4 beautifully turned typical Georgian legs which finishes to a Queen Anne pad foot 2 of which are hinged to support the leaves when opened. The table is constructed in a solid way with tight Mortise and Tenon joints meaning the table is rigid with no wobbles. The tops have no joints and features a 3 plank top, they are flat and not twisted.

The table does show some evidence of historic non active woodworm to the underside which is non structural and has been treated in our workshop.
Please note; Being an antique item of this age there are obviously marks, scratches and dents however, we feel that these points are which adds to its charm and character. We have left it untouched and as it came in from the previous owner apart from just cleaning and waxing this item.
