Andrew Cox Antiques has dated this piece to the 1870s.
The bowl, hollow blown stem and foot are all of wrythen form, with the stem also having the addition of three clear glass lion masks. The bowl is dished with a turned over rim and the domed foot is folded with a broken pontil mark to the centre. A fabulous piece, both decorative and usable.
