Mytton Antiques - Jerrard Nares has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
The sloping front formed by a pair of doors, opening likewise to tiered compartments with maple wood fret cut fronts, falling to a pen tray and ink bottle compartments. The door lined with maple fret cut faced compartments, the lower body with a slide out drawer, opening to for a writing slope with a pen tray. The whole with good brass escutcheon, hinges and flush drawer handle. Complete with lock and key.
