Silver Topped Sword Stick by Brigg of London 1886

19th century
Description

The silver knop is hallmarked for London 1886 marked for Brigg of London the sword stick conceals a dagger rather than a sword.

The blade is etched on both sides, one side bears a crown, a sunburst, swags and sways, the other foliage and a pair of dividers (which might indicate a Masonic connection).

There is also an inscription "RB from RBH 17.2.1887"

The malacca haft is ebonised and it ends in a brass and steel ferrule, the silver knop has dings and dents commensurate with its age but otherwise it is in excellent condition.
