A very striking rug from West Anatolia, made in or near the town of Ghiordes. I love the combination of pinky red, which is derived from small beetles, and the light blue. I find it very attractive and pleasingly contemporary, despite the rug being well over 150 years old!

Some old repairs but essentially in very good condition.
