This lovely oil on canvas by Joseph Horlor, 1809 - 1887, depicts the gatehouse at Conwy Castle, Wales. Horlor was a painter of Welsh scenes and coastal views he exhibited 13 paintings at the British Institution and 11 at Suffolk, later the RBA. His works hang in the National Collection and in museums around the country. The painting and frame are in very good condition, no repairs to the original canvas
