Art Deco Novelty Celluloid Brooch

1920 - 1940
Description

An unusual 1930s Art Deco style Celluloid brooch. It depicts an elegant lady dressed in clothes of the period walking a small dog on a chain. Both the lady and the dog have their own separate fixing pins so they can be put in different positions.

It is in good condition for its age. The chain has tarnished and there is some slight discolouration on the brooch itself but overall it displays well and the fastening clips are in good order.

The lady is approximately 2 1/4" (6cm) high, the dog is 1 1/2" (4cm) long and the total length of the brooch including the chain is 2 1/2" (6.5cm).
