French Empire Bronze Swan Paperweight

Charming, small, nicely detailed early 19th century French Empire paintated bronze paperweight in the form of a swan. The swan was an emblem closely associated with the Empress Josephine and adapted and used as a decorative element on many items throughout the Empire period. France, circa 1815.
