Large 18th.Century Style Bureau Cabinet

An Impressive18th Century style figured walnut bureau bookcase cabinet. The broken arched cornice having applied mouldings with acanthus carved corbels. The pair of doors having bevel edged plate glass mirrors within applied mouldings. The doors open to reveal a superb interior fitted with 15 drawers, 3 small cupboards and 20 pigeonholes all in walnut with brass pulls. Below is a small arched cupboard flanked by two drawers and carved corbels. The bureau section having a beautifully figured walnut fall which opens to a fitted interior consisting of 2 serpentine shaped drawers, 3 small drawers, 6 pigeonholes and 2 stationary shelves.Below are 3 wide breakfront drawers all with cross banded fronts and ring pulls and escutcheons. The whole raised on an offset breakfront plinth base with decorative carvings. Condition- Very good with working locks and keys. Dimensions:- Max.Height…91’’/ 231cm. Width…41.75’’/ 106cm.
