A French mahogany and walnut ladies cylinder desk with gilded mounts. The top having a brass gallery above 3 drawers all with pierced brass mounts. The out-swept frieze with walnut panels and brass beading. The cylinder decorated with an ancient folly with mountainous background surrounded by harebells and foliage. The cylinder opens to a 3 drawer interior with pull out writing slide. Below a wide drawer again with mounts and ring pull handles. The whole raised on turned fluted legs with brass sabots. Condition- good with a few minor flaws associated with age and use. Dimensions:- Height…49’’/ 124.5cm. Width…35.5’’/ 90cm. Depth…22’’/ 56cm. Writing Height…32’’/ 56cm.
