A Fine Pair Of Regency Period Rosewood Wine Tables,
Or Lamp Tables, Having Highly Figured Square Tops
Raised On Elegant Carved Spiral Twist Turned Stems
Terminating On Umbrella Tripod Legs With
Line Strung Decoration
(A particularly fine pair of tables that demonstrate the
quality of craftsmanship on display in London during
the early 19th century. The tops have been constructed
from exceptional quality, highly figured rosewood veneers
and the craftsmanship which has gone into the making of
the elegant spiral turned columns is simply superb. They
stand incredibly elegantly and are perfect to use beside
sofas, next to chairs or simply standing centrally on their
own in any home, modern or old. They are also a most
useful size, without being too big, many other examples
which are found are a little too small to be practical,
whereas these particular tables are the most perfect size
for a lamp, resting drinks on, or even to stand sculptures
or any other objects on the top of. Finally it is also very
rare to find a pair of any tables of this age remaining in
each others company with a whole host of reasons that
two items may have been split from each other over the
years often playing a part)
