Howard and Sons Bridgewater Armchair.

1900 - 1920
Description

Bridgewater armchair model expertly upholstered in a howard lichen (light green) coloured ticking.

Extra features include piped facing details to the back side and arms and cushion.

Sold with an extra small feather scatter cushion,back and arm protectors in the lichen ticking .last three images.

Deep buttoned back with traditional horsehair upholstery. In the last few images showing this armchair with its original feather seat cushion with pencil inscriptions stating bridgewater on both sides.

Rear leg stamped howard & sons,berners st with serial numbers.all castors stamped.

One thing to note about this bridgewater is that it is equally comfortable without the seat cushion in place due to the deep buttoned back structure.
