Description

An Antique Giltwood and Marble Console Table or Large Wall Bracket Circa 1870. Constructed of wood and gilded gesso. The figured marble top of rectangle form above an ogee and cavetto moulded table top. Supported below with large central leaf decoration in turn flanked by a C-Scroll detail. Trailing petal heads form the edges which terminate with a large acanthus leaf in shell form. A good looking and functional antique that would work well as either a console table or large wall bracket. Old BADA (British Antique Dealers' Association) label to underside. In very good condition, wear commensurate with age.
