Description

1930s Thomas Russell full hunter pocket watch.

The watch has a seven jewel stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed Thomas Russell & Son, and it is all protected by an inner hinged cover which has some scratches where it has been opened in the past.

The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is the gold plated Thomas Russell model from the Illinois Watch Case Company. The case is in good condition, just light surface marks but nothing too detrimental at all. Nicely decorated around the edge.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside, there is a glass lens which is in good condition (some white reflection showing in the photo).

The signed dial has blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers. There is a faint hairline running from the centre towards number 11 but it is not overly noticeable to the naked eye.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
