Mytton Antiques - Jerrard Nares has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
The tray with a mahogany frame, the rim with a concave inner edge, and straight sided outer edge, the top and outer edge inlaid with boxwood stringing, the tray mounted to either end with brass scrolled and shaped carrying handles.
The design formed by gilt wire, filled with coloured crushed glass.
Date circa 1820.
