Antique 17th Century Six Plank Oak Chest

A charming antique 17th century six plank oak chest. The six plank coffer is of simple construction and has been made from six elm planks. The hinged lid has chip carved detail to the sides and opens to reveal a spacious interior with an open candle box to the left hand side. The six plank coffer is raised on bracket feet.

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related scratches and marks to the top, front and sides. There is some paint staining to the top as well as some loss to the edges, however, this does not take away from the overall integrity of the piece. A great example of an antique 17th Century six plank oak chest.
