Wonderful Antique English Boxed Sugar and Nips C.1880

Description

A wonderful Victorian set cased within a superb original box lined in velvet and silk. Made from silver plate, the quality is evident, with the bowl beautifully engraved and lavishly gilded inside. The nips sit beneath the bowl, held by a small velvet covered catch.

If you don't use lump sugar, this is a perfect bowl for serving you guests chocolates.

All in excellent condition (the box having wear commensurate with age), the bowl with a rim diameter measuring 3 1/2" and standing 1 3/4" tall; the nips measure 4" in length. The box measures 5 1/2" square.
