Description

A stunning pair of antique candlesticks made from solid cast brass and just having been professionally re-polished to gleam.

The square bases are quite wonderful with pierced or reticulated work and Grotesque or Gargoyle heads around the base.

The underside of each is signed, I have had items in the past made by this English manufacturer but I am unable to recall the name, they are also impressed with the date 1896, very unusual.

Solid and heavy, a highly decorative pair to adorn your mantlepiece or perhaps the desk-top.

Excellent condition, with the base measuring 4" square and standing 7" tall.
